Greetings From Troop 85:

Upon a recent evaluation of our storage closet, we were able to determine that a significant amount of camping equipment is unaccounted for.  Over time, at least $1,500.00 worth of tents, stoves, cooking utensils, etc. have not been returned to the troop. Troop 85’s Committee recently discussed this matter, and it was decided that we would reach out to our family, both past and present, requesting that everyone check for equipment that may inadvertently still be in their possession.   We’ve all done it before, tripping over pots, pans, stoves and tents in our garage that we forgot to bring back to Holy Spirit on a Thursday night.

Please take the time to check around your home for equipment in the classic hiding places.  Basements, garages, attics, trunks, and sheds are good places to start with.  It would mean a great deal to the troop if a significant number of items were returned.  This would minimize our cost of replacing the missing items.  Rest assured that you will be greeted with open arms if you visit us on a Thursday night with (or even without) equipment.  Even Tim Gaven Sr.!!!!!

Thank you in advance for your cooperation with this matter.

Best regards,

Fred Sloan
